Soul @ The Barhouse

imageSoul @ The Barhouse started in April 2009, by Mick Love, along with Paul Spain and Guest DJ Rob Messer, it was attended by 70 people. the next soul night in the June, I brought over from Ireland "Dick Coombes" who was a legend in the Essex and North London Area during the Mod revival in the 1980's. Again attended by 70 people.
In April 2010 saw 1st Anniversary Allnighter with guest DJ's Ian levine, Simon White, Davy Marshall (Scotland), Paul McKay and the various local DJ's including Dick Coombes (Now Back in the UK) Rob Messer, Stubbsy, Annie Neale, Ginger Dave, with 180 in attendance.

The Soul nights are bi - monthly, midweek a Wednesday night, not everyone's fav night but with the increasing Soul functions on at the Weekends to choose from and nothing during the week (except us) it has turned out ok.

The Barhouse is a Music venue with 2 rooms, we are normally upstairs while Bands play downstairs, except from the sound check, you very rarely here the bands downstairs. The Venue has a large smokers area out the back and 2 bars, although draught beer not upstairs at this present time. Mixing with the young music fans of the bands has never been a problem and at times has been funny getting chatted up by a young pretty girl hoping you'll buy her a drink, why not cut out the bull love and just ask me to buy you a drink haha.

If you've never been to a Soul @ The Barhouse event and would like to attend, please do so we are a friendly bunch and the music is great.
